Roof cleaning.
A treatment that kills the algae, moss and lichen on your shingles. The streaks die that day, and rain carries what's left away over the next few weeks.

The black streaks running down a shingle roof are algae, and moss and lichen tend to follow in shady spots. We treat the whole roof with a cleaning solution at low pressure, which kills the growth without blasting granules off your shingles.
The roof looks better the day we treat it, but it takes six to eight weeks of weather to finish clearing. Dead algae can stay light brown for a while, and treated moss turns white before it falls off.
What's included
- Treatment for algae, moss and lichen
- Low pressure on the shingles the whole time
- Results that keep improving for six to eight weeks
- An in-person check if growth is still there after eight weeks
What it costs
Every house is a different size and shape, so we price each job after seeing it, in person or from photos. Call (586) 872-7958 or send a few pictures through the quote form, and ask about package pricing if you want more than one service.
What a roof wash looks like over eight weeks.
We don't blast shingles with high pressure. The solution does the work, and the weather finishes the job.
Older roofs, deep growth and heavy buildup can take longer. Every roof reacts a little differently.

That's dead algae that hasn't washed off yet. It usually fades within six to eight weeks of sun and rain. If it hasn't faded by then, call (586) 872-7958 and we'll come out and look at it.
